IMRAN POSES AS RAHUL TO LURE HINDU WOMAN INTO MARRIAGE – FORCES HER TO CONVERT
A man named Imran Malik changed his name to Rahul, to mislead a Hindu woman named Kanta, and lured her to marry him. Now, what would we call this? As per Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code, a man to have sexual intercourse with a victim woman on a false promise of marriage amounts to rape. A more well-documented phrase for this category of crime is cited as – “Rape by deception” – wherein consent is obtained by fraud. Not just in India, but in the United State, the United Kingdom, Israel, and many other countries “rape by deception” is recognized as a crime.
However, the popular narrative “Rape by deception” is often termed as “Love Jihad”, which the world’s most popular encyclopedia, Wikipedia describes as a conspiracy theory. Now coming back to the story, the victim woman, Kanta, told the court that after marriage Imran forced Kanta to convert to Islam despite marrying her under the Hindu Marriage Act. The special Family Court, Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh with Awadh Bihari Singh as Principal Judge has granted a decree of divorce to the Hindu woman Kanta on the grounds that the Muslim man who married her under the Hindu Marriage Act, never accepted Hinduism and continued to live as a Muslim. The court ruled that marriage between a Hindu and a Muslim under the Hindu Marriage Act is null and void as the Act requires both persons to be Hindus, the court said. The woman told the court that her former husband — Imran Malik — tried to force her to change her religion to Islam despite registering their marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act. The court observed that Imran changed his name to Rahul for the marriage paperwork, only to mislead and cheat the woman.
Well, the deception is clear here, and this crime is very likely to be booked under rape in several countries. And in fact, the accused Imran was booked under section 376(rape). Kanta somehow escaped Imran ad filed a police complaint under FIR number 504/2018 on 5 December 2018 at Singhaoli Ahir police station of Baghpat. In her complaint, Kanta accused ‘Imran alias Rahul’, his mother Ashia, his father Iqbal, and his brothers Shahid and Irfan under IPC sections 498-A, IPC 323 (causing hurt), IPC section 376 (rape) and section 506, etc.
Rape is not the only shocking part of this story.As per Kanta’s testimony to the courts, Imran coerced Kanta to convert to Islam. Kanta says she was forced to wear a burqa and was not allowed to go out of the house. Imran denied and refuted all these statements by Kanta. What Kanta described as rape per section 376 in her formal police complaint, Imran termed it as ‘love’, where Imran stated to the court that he loved Kanta and wanted to live with her as her husband. The court observed that Kanta’s statements appeared true, and Imran’s version did not. The court observed that Imran had no formal documents to establish the validity of his name as Rahul which he used to pose as Hindu to marry Kanta, and further the court observed that in a document dated 22 July 2019, he had given his name as Imran Malik. The court concluded that Imran obtained consent for marriage by fraud.
The story does not end here. Imran had forced Kanta to sign on a religious conversion certificate from a mosque and a Nikahnama (that is a marriage certificate) where her name was changed to Zoya. It has been almost 4 years of legal battle, Kanta has moved on in life and been married with the help of the community into a safe Hindu family this time.However, Kanta’s case is neither new nor an isolated instance. For centuries, Hindu women have been a target of “rape” by Hindumisic terrorists. However, thanks to the support of the Hindu community, women like Kanta can peacefully continue their life in a safe, and well-protected Hindu family, where women are seen as the manifestation of Devi Parashakti – the mother Goddess and given utmost respect in the family.
