Hindu Minor Girl Raped and Murdered in Sindh Pakistan; Global Hindus Remain Silent

Amidst the ongoing anti-Hindu persecution of minorities in Pakistan, another minor Hindu girl has been a victim of rape and murder by radical elements. The victim, Naina Kohli, was found dead with countless injuries to her body. Her body was thrown out on the streets after she was brutally raped multiple times.

Naina Kohli’s family is seeking justice but no action has been taken as of now. The incident took place near Tando Yousuf Police Station in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. Such inhumane and criminal acts are being inflicted on the minority Hindu community near a police station, signaling the negligence of the law enforcement to take strong action against the perpetrators.

Such barbarity has risen to unprecedented levels in Pakistan that thousands of minority Hindu girls are recorded as victims of rape and violence every year. There are thousands more that go unreported and are not counted due to the fear of the minority Hindu community to face further persecution and violence for speaking out.

The grieving family has very few options to demand justice as the legal system in Pakistan is stacked against the Hindu minority. The legal framework of Pakistan also has many barbaric laws such as the “blasphemy” laws which directly target and incarcerate minority Hindus. If a Hindu is accused of “blasphemy” against Islam, they will get prosecuted by the law and can even be given the death penalty based on the current legal structure.

The worst part is that the global Hindu community is choosing to remain silent despite countless Hindu girls facing such sexual violence and persecution in many parts of South Asia and the world. Just because Hindus are safe in some regions in South Asia does not mean they will be safe forever. The only way to safety and security is through the unification of global Hindu voices against all anti-Hindu persecution, no matter where it happens around the world.
