World’s Largest Panchaloka Nataraja – KAILASA in Seattle

Arudra Darshan December 20 was Arudra Darshan. The celebration of Lord Shiva, and His Cosmic Dancing form Lord Nataraja. Arudra Darshan marks the conclusion of Margazhi Brahmotsavam for Chidambaram Nataraja Temple and marks the beginning of a new day in the “vertical time zone” – the higher Cosmic dimensions. The Cosmic Dance of Lord Nataraja represents the panca kritya, 5 actions, performed by Lord Shiva: Creation (shristhi), Sustenance (stithi), Rejuvenation (Samhara), Pulling out of Delusion (throbhava), and Liberation (Anugraha). This is the continuous cycle of existence. In Sanatana Hindu Dharma God not only creates, sustains and destroys – more importantly, Hindus pay attention to THE PROCESS THROUGH WHICH ONE is raised OUT OF HUMAN DELUSION (throbhava), and to necessarily to be LIBERATED (anugraha) from the deluded sufferings of the mind and the senses. In addition to the Arudra Darshan celebrations at Chidambaram Nataraja Temple this year, of particular note was the offerings to the world’s largest pancha loka (5 metal) Nataraja Deity in the world outside of India at Kailasa in Seattle. The Seattle Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple is home to the 12-foot Lord Nataraja pancha loka Deity. Inaugurated in 2008 by SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam, the Seattle Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple is also the home to many other energizing Deities including spatika linga, the largest Ananda Narthana Ganapathy (Dancing Ganesha) in the area, 10-foot Lord Venkateshwara, Lord Ayyappan, Ram Parivar, Radha Krishna, Navagrahas, and more in addition to the world-leading presiding Lord Nataraja. Every year for Maha Shivaratri the Temple is also home to a special ice linga installed at the Temple. And the special 6 abhishekam performed each year as per Vedas-Agamas to Lord Nataraja.
